She was predeceased by: her mothers, Dock T. and Hattie Baker; her husband Marvin Brooks; her siblings, R. C., Aaron, Gene Baker, Sarah Baker, Louise McClain, Grace Riggins, Ruth Yarborough, Willie Eudy and Betty Pressley; and her grandson Brandon Keziah.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Anspach of Rock Hill, Sylvia Keziah, Benita Watts (Byron), Randy Brooks (Mandy), Steve Brooks (Cathy) and Eddie Brooks; and her brothers, Jimmy Baker and Smith Baker. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:15 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (6907 Gus Eubanks Rd, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 3:15 PM at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
