He was predeceased by: his parents, Carneice Griffin and Mary Elizabeth Lowery Griffin; his sisters, Iris Kiker and Ann Deese; and his son-in-law Corwen Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Funderburk Griffin; his children, David B. Griffin (Renea), Angela Parker and Donna Haney (Greg); his siblings, Emsley Griffin (Martha), Jackie Griffin, Barbara Bodenheimer, Vickie Griffin and Denise Presslar (Rodney); his grandchildren, Matthew Haney, Wil Griffin (Lyndsay), Miranda Huneycutt (Jeremy) and Morgan Hall (Stanton); and his great grandchildren, Aiden Griffin, Ava Huneycutt, Hudson Hall and Haisley Hall.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gordon Funeral Chapel (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
