He was predeceased by: his parents, C. H. Long and Mary Ann Long; his son Terry Dean Long; his siblings, Richard Long, James Long and Francis Shrader; his grandsons, Aaron Long, Tony Riskus, Michael Seibel and Tommy Hodges; and his close friend Shirley Robinson.
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Long, David Long (Jan), Melonie Dixon (Edward), Melinda Torreyson, Tina Long and Bobby Long. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
