Charles Otis Brown Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Otis Brown (Monroe, North Carolina), who passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As Charles Otis departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Charles Otis may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Charles Otis leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Brown and Estella Brown. He is survived by: his wife Janet Edwards Brown; and his children, Charles Brown (Mary) and Leslie Hodge (Tom). He is also survived by six grandchildren and their spouses and 17 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Provision Church (3020 New Salem Rd, Monroe, NC 28110). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse, Baptist Children's Home of North Carolina or Provision Church designated to the College Ministry.
