He is survived by: his wife Leola Hayes Whitley; his son David Alan Whitley (Karen); his brother Douglas "Pete" Whitley (Sylvia); and his grandchildren, Shannon Turner, Josh Whitley and Marcus Whitley. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
