She was predeceased by: her parents, George McWhorter and Delphia Starnes McWhorter; and her husband George Medlin. She is survived by: her children, Ronald Medlin (Cookie) of Shallotte, NC, Randy Medlin (Jennie) of Gilbert, SC, Teresa Helms (Tom) of Wingate, NC and Tracy Deese (Mitch) of Monroe, NC; her sister Violet Starnes of Monroe, NC; and her grandchildren, Crystal Ashley, Megan Helms, Brian Medlin, Zac Helms, Amber Nash, Josh Deese, Michael Brooks and Kristen Brown. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
