She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde O. Smith; her parents, Arthur Helms and Bessie Helms (Howie); and her brother Cody Helms. She is survived by: her son John David Fincher (Amy) of Monroe; her grandchildren, Logan Fincher (Hayley) and Becca Ziedman (Daniel) of Monroe; her great grandchildren, Emma and Judah; her stepchildren, Cissy Bowles (Chip) of Belmont, Crystal Hawkins (Tom), Curtis Smith (Tracey) and Chuckie Smith of Gastonia; and her brother George Arthur Helms.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service (1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
