Though Barbara Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claudus Harold and Robbie Mae Braswell Smith; her husband Hugh Mac Watkins; and her brother Tommy Smith. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Watkins and Marty Watkins (Terry); and her siblings, Carol Plyler, Mack Smith (Carolyn) and Danny Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holland Funeral Service (806 Circle Dr, Monroe, NC 28112). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Lakeland Memorial Park (1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112).
