He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Blakely Sr. and Florence Kirpatrick Blakely; and his sister Mary Laster Blakely. He is survived by: his siblings, Bennie Blakely III of Monroe, NC, Ada Delores Blakely, Patricia Ann Blakely of Monroe, NC and Melissa Black of Wingate, NC.; and his nieces and nephews, Damien Ligon, Norris Black Jr., Crystal Mungo, Shanetta Ligon and Mercedes Blakely. He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and other special cousins and relatives.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the family requests that no one visit nor bring food to their home.
