It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Aaron Whitley Johnson of Monroe, North Carolina, who passed away on January 7, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Elvin Johnson Sr. and Mattie Whitley Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Caroline "Kitten" Moser; his daughters, Julie Ann Hunter (Dwight) of Weddington, NC and Joy Suzanne Johnson (Joseph Craig) of Richville, MN; and his siblings, David Elvin Johnson Jr. and Nancy Morgan. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the concerns of the pandemic.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Central United Methodist Church, C/O the Prayer Garden, 801 S Hayne St, Monroe, NC 28112.
