She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Fletcher Phillips and Lora Belle Smith Phillips; her husband Bruce Sexton Jones; her daughter Terry Jones Poythress; and her siblings, Carl Ferman Phillips, Fletcher Phillips, Alta Williams, Lora Williams and Bonnie Van Gorder.
She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Ray Jones (Winona) of Greeneville, TN and Phillip Owen Jones of Moncure, NC.; her son-in-law Phillip Lee Poythress of Chapel Hill, NC.; her brother Atlas Phillips (Betsy) of Deep River; and her granddaughters, Heather Renegar, Sarah Kidd, Kathy Jones Martin and Jessica Poythress.
