We are sad to announce that on April 25, 2021, at the age of 83, Myrtle Phillips Jones of Moncure, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Fletcher Phillips and Lora Belle Smith Phillips; her husband Bruce Sexton Jones; her daughter Terry Jones Poythress; and her siblings, Carl Ferman Phillips, Fletcher Phillips, Alta Williams, Lora Williams and Bonnie Van Gorder.

She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Ray Jones (Winona) of Greeneville, TN and Phillip Owen Jones of Moncure, NC.; her son-in-law Phillip Lee Poythress of Chapel Hill, NC.; her brother Atlas Phillips (Betsy) of Deep River; and her granddaughters, Heather Renegar, Sarah Kidd, Kathy Jones Martin and Jessica Poythress.
