It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leander Seymour of Moncure, North Carolina, who passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Manley D. Seymore and Betty A. Wilson Seymour; his siblings, Eli, Huebert, Robert, Paul and Robina Cameron; his siblings-in-law, William Cameron, Bertha Seymour and Mary J. Seymour; and his grandson Jeffrey Alston.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Seymour; his children, Julia S. Johnson of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Lee Seymour (Darice) of Gastonia, NC; his grandchildren, Aretha "Rita" of James, Arlene, Arletha, Jared, Tahleyah and Shanice; his great grandchildren, Malaiyah, Jared Jr., Caylin, Kenzlei, Karter, Camden and Ashton; his sister-in-law Mae Ruth Seymore; and his brother James "Coot" Seymour. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends he loved.
