He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Wolfgang Rona, Jane M. Bowler and John E. Bowler. He is survived by: his mother Frauke Rona-Bowler; his stepfather William C. Hobson of Moncure, NC; his father John Bowler (Patricia) of Hampstead, NC; his brothers, John Lukas Bowler of Raleigh, NC and Mark Wolfgang Bowler (Gina) of Washington, D. C.; his niece Anna Bowler; his aunt Dr. Sabine Rona; his uncles, Peter and Mark Bowler; and his grandmother Ilse Rona of Germany. He is also survived by many cousins and family members.
Gregory never gave up fighting his addiction, thus, in lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Gregory's memory to Recovery Community 5245 Capital Blvd, Raleigh, North Carolina 27616.
