She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Stansell and Irene Garrison Stansell; and her husband William Broadus Thomas, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Dennis Thomas (Linda) of Surf City; her grandsons, Ryan Thomas (Breanna) of Spring Lake and Aaron Jackson (Stacey) of Cary; and her great grandchildren, Connor, Dylan and Savannah.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Elsie's memory to Gum Springs Baptist Church Building Fund 227 Gum Springs Church Road Moncure, NC 27559.
