It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Bess Shutt Bennett (Mocksville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 28, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Monroe "Grandy" and Hazel Lelia Sheek; her former husband Elder Bobby Eugene Bennett; her sisters, Edith Zimmerman and Ruth Collette; and her great grandchild Aleigha Crotts.
She is survived by: her children, Delbert Bennett (Martha) of Mocksville, Cynthia Summers of Mocksville and Bradley Bennett of Mocksville; and her grandchildren, Christy Bennett, Ashley Crotts (Matt), Erika Geockerman (Brian), Nicholas Summers (Brooke) and Lauren Bennett (Jon Copp). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces; and one nephew.
