He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Gobble Stroud; his children, Sabrina Linger of Charlotte, Tonya Phillips (Scott) of Charlotte and Waylon Stroud of Mocksville; his grandchildren, Kiera Linger, Callie Linger and Landon Stroud; and his sister Freida Dyson (Wayne) of Mocksville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
