He was predeceased by: his father Kerr "Slim" Bailey; and his wife Connie Glover Graves. He is survived by: his daughters, Carla Howard of Mocksville and Cherie Grubbs (Donald) of Mocksville; his stepdaughters, Beth Gregory of Charlotte and Allison Fagg of Mooresville; his grandchildren, Zachary Howard (Maci), Shelton Howard, Nathaniel Howard, David Howard (Lora Benge) and Carly Walser (Daniel); his stepgrandchildren, Laura Gregory and Matthew Gregory; his sisters, Betty Cassidy (Ken) of Mocksville and Dale Wall (Doug) of Mocksville; his nieces and nephews, Todd Cassidy, Lisa Rivers, Angela Mauldin and Thad Cassidy; and his close friend Kay Mills of Stony Point.
