It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Melvin Hicks of Mocksville, North Carolina, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Everett and Eugenia "Fern" Watson Hicks; and his grandson Phillip S. Hicks, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ramona Louise Cherikos Hicks; his children, Phillip S. Hicks, Sr. and Cindy Hicks-Chisenhall (Mark); and his siblings, Richard Hicks and Marilyn Griggs. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
