It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Carson (Mocksville, North Carolina), who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Dulin and Kathelean Dulin Flint. She is survived by: her husband William Edward Carson; her daughters, Chiquita Renee and Althea Valetta; her sisters, Addie Bell, Mildred Blackwell, Geneva Foote, Willie Mae Smoot "Dede" and Zelda Naylor; her daughters, Janie Carson Belton and Barbara Carson Mason; her granddaughter Amber Jefferies; her children, Wayne Ijames, Renee Carson (Althea Carson), Jacqueline Carson-Bond (Arthur), Sally Carson, William Carson Jr. of Winston-Salem and Michael David Carson of Winston-Salem; and her sister Betty Frost of Mocksville. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
