He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Jefferson and Nannie Elizabeth Boyd; his son Ronald Boyd; and his siblings, Lorne Boyd, William Ray Boyd, Madeline Janney and Joyce Quesenberry.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Bishop Boyd of Mocksville; his children, Don Boyd (Vickie) of Little Rock, AR and Sharon Tesh (Scott) of Advance; his grandchildren, Ashley Boyd of Las Vegas, NV, Justin Tesh (Whitney) of Mauldin, SC, Heath Boyd (Amanda) of Little Rock, AR and Lauren Kellett (Keenan) of Oklahoma City; his great grandchildren, Charlotte Boyd, Baylor Boyd, Rose Tesh and James R. Tesh; and his close friend Bob Mosley.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lambert Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Mocksville (635 Wilkesboro St, Mocksville, NC 27028). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Lambert Funeral Chapel (635 Wilkesboro St, Mocksville, NC 27028). A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens (5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012).
