She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Gray and Pearl Griffith Hartman; her husband Harold Gray McKnight; her daughter Sherry Smith of Advance; her granddaughter Shannon Bolton (Joel) of Huntersville; her great grandchildren, Ellie and Clark Bolton; her stepdaughter Laura Darnell (Ralph) of Mocksville; her stepgrandchildren, James Carter, Jr. and Nicki Atkinson; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Micah, Carly Carter and Rayne Atkinson.
