With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Ernestine Benfield (Mocksville, North Carolina), who passed away on December 11, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold E. "Buck" Benfield; her parents, E. P. Burdette and Nettie Burdette; her brothers, Kenneth and Charles; her sister-in-law Helen Burdette; and her grandson Danny Stevenson.
She is survived by: her children, Alice Kral of Morganton, Johnny Benfield, Sr. (Diane) of Mocksville, Susan Smith (Kenny) of Harmony and Cheryl Taylor (Johnny) of Mocksville; and her sister-in-law Polly Burdette of Stoney Point. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren.
