It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ruth Frye Smith of Mocksville, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Lester Eugene; and her siblings, Annie Call, Robert Frye and Nellie Couch. She is survived by: her husband Joe Henry Smith; her son Jody Smith (Beverly) of Madison; her grandson Christopher Smith; her stepgrandchildren, Caleb and Bailey Cox; her siblings, Betty Trivette, Linda Gaither, Sue Caudle (Bobby), Johnny Frye (Dee), Bonnie Lambert (Sam), Gene Frye (Melinda) and Roger Dale Frye; and her sister-in-law Karen Frye. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
