He was predeceased by: his father Henry Clifford; his son Jeremy Lee Lowder; and his brothers, William Lowder, J. C. Lowder and David Lowder.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Howard Lowder; his children, Kina Scantlin of Virginia, Sandy Smith (Gregg) of Mooresville, Kristopher Potts of Cleveland and Kurtis Potts (Nivia) of Ohio; his grandchildren, Katherine, Nicholas, Stormi, Karah, Adolfo, Savannah, Adan, Aliya and Evan; his great grandchildren, Jude, Storm and Reagan; and his siblings, Sara Jane Lowder of Virginia, Louise Dunford of Marion and James Lowder (Dale) of Albemarle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
