In the vast expanse of eternity, Jerry Buford shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jerry Buford farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Buford Rivers and Virginia Massengil Rivers; and his stepdaughter Martha Little. He is survived by: his wife Christine Clement Rivers; his son Christopher Rivers (Stephanie); his stepdaughters, Dee Mock (George) and Amanda Gillespie; and his brother Dan Rivers. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church (1994 US-158, Mocksville, NC 27028). A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
