He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Woodward and Zelma McClamrock Woodward; his wife Elizabeth Koontz Woodward; and his siblings, Clair Bone, Mabel Wrenn, Arthur Woodward, Rod Woodward, Ike Woodward, Jack Woodward and Louise Collins.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Woodward of Mocksville, Steve Woodward (Pam) of Statesville and Cheryle Angell (Victor) of Richmond, Virginia. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
