He is survived by: his stepchildren, John Lee Smith, Jr. (Daphne) of Cherokee, Marvin "Marty" Smith (Twyla) of Mocksville and Edie Lorraine Smith of Mocksville; his grandchildren, Shauna Marie Linares (Daniel), Christina Jané Daniel, Joanna Elizabeth Daniel, Gregory James Daniel, Brian Jae Beck (Camille) and Hannah MiSun Beck (Joshua S. Foley); his great grandchildren, Gabriel Linares, Isabella Linares, Alexander Linares, Nicholas Joon Beck and Carson Charles Foley (Beck); his stepgrandchildren, Vickie Harrington, Christopher Ellis (Carin), Cynthia Ellis Newsome (Spencer), Keri Smith (James), Jessica Smith, Johnathon Smith (Anna), Jason Allen and Jamie Smith; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan Wensil, Gwendolyn, Sela, Smith Ellis, Oliver, Otto, Alexander Newsome, Brayden, Reece Smith and Rosemary Salazar.
