She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hawkins and Beatrice Turner Addison; her husband Paul Clifton Cockerham; her sons, William Cockerham, Sr. and Gilbert Cockerham; and her sister Thomasine Gaither.
She is survived by: her son Tracy Cockerham (Patricia) of Statesville; her stepchildren, Donald Dalton, Terry Wayne Evans, Anthony Sellers and Christina Lewis; her cousin Otelia Turner of Harmony; and her sisters-in-law, Rosa Lee Arnold (Jimmy) of Cooleemee and Josephine Dalton of Mocksville. She is also survived by thirty-four grandchildren; seventy-three great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren.
