He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Strickland, Sr. and Mildred Strickland. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Daniel Strickland of Mocksville, NC; his daughter Allison Strickland of Hampton, VA; his stepchildren, Jason DesNoyers (Sally) of Mocksville, NC and Ashley DesNoyers of Winston-Salem, NC; his stepgrandchildren, Meghan, Dashel and Drake; his siblings, Maxine Brady of Hampton, VA, Edward Strickland, Jr. of Hayes, VA, Esther Williams (Russ) of Newport News, VA, William Strickland (Nancy) of Hampton, VA, Barbara Anderson (Andy) of Greensboro, NC, Debbie Cabal of Hampton, VA and Jimmy Strickland (Holly) of Salisbury, NC; and his pet Sam. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
