He was predeceased by: his father John Benjamin Howell; and his brother Dennis Howell. He is survived by: his mother Helen Elizabeth Wooten Howell; his wife Laura Elaine Smith Howell; his children, Todd Howell of Mocksville, Kelly Howell of Mocksville and Randy Howell (Tina) of Mocksville; his brothers, Danny Howell (Dena) of Yadkinville and Derrick Howell (Cindy) of Yadkinville; his sister-in-law Rita Howell; and his granddaughters, Brandi Howell, Katlin Howell and Brianna Howell.
