He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Melvin Carrick and Anna Carrick; his wife Carolyn Carrick (Ferguson); and his siblings, Buddy Swank, Geraldine C. Zepp, Louise Barford and Jeannie Paulston.
He is survived by: his children, Donald William Carrick, Jr., David Lee Carrick, Sr. (Janet) and Donna Carrick Walp (Bunky); his brother Howard Carrick; his nephew Robb Zepp; and his grandchildren, William Beaver, Nicole Walp, Michael Kara Keeton, Kristen Laprade, David Lee Carrick, Jr., Dakota McClamrock, Sierra Merritt, Nicole Ranken, Brieana Carrick and Jaxon Brogan. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
