He is survived by: his son David Kenneth Blackwood of Southport; his wife Loraine McDaniel Blackwood; his daughter Lisa Blackwood Salvaggio of Lake Wiley; and his grandchildren, Tara Potts Kleaveland (Justin Kleaveland) of Cooleemee, David Brett Blackwood of Advance and Briana Blackwood Beasley (Josh Beasley) of Mount Airy.
