He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mildred E. Nielsen; his parents, Anna Nielsen and Arnold C. Nielsen; his grandchildren, Christopher and Cheryl Nielsen; his great grandchild Matthew Bridgeman; his sons, Michael Nielsen (Lynn), Douglas Nielsen (Renae) of Galveston, TX and James Nielsen (Lola) of Hope Mills, NC.; and his brother Swen C. Nielsen of Provo, UT. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School.
