He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Coe and Nellie Bertha Hall Doby; his former wife Barbara Jean Doby; and his sons-in-law, Ned Barnes and Michael Traphofner.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Doby; his stepchildren, Jamie Snow (Tammy), Diane Traphofner, Patricia Barnes and Gail Snow; his sister Ruby Bingham (William); his stepgrandchildren, Bryan, Nicole, Brittany, Jennie, Dalton and Abby; and his close friend Donald "Dink" Smith.
