She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred White and Ila Mae Emmons White; her husband Albert Eaton Thornton; her son Bruce Wayne Thornton; and her great grandchild Cora Tew.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Michael (Craig) of Mocksville; her grandchildren, Shelby Tew (Austin) of Stokesdale, Ryan Michael (Sarah) of Salisbury and Matt Thornton of Maryland; and her great grandchildren, Braylen Jade Tew, Adeline Elizabeth Michael, Waylon Reid Michael, Hank Ray Michael and Della Louise Michael. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
