She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert D. Thomas and Ruby B. Thomas; and her brother Gene Thomas. She is survived by: her husband William "Gene" Ferguson; her children, Rhonda Libby and Mark Ferguson (Michelle); her grandchildren, Ashley Dwyer, Brandon Smith, Austin Smith, Owen Ferguson and Brady Ferguson; her great grandchild Skyler Smith; and her sister Audrey Helms. She is also survived by two sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association Western Carolinas Chapter or to Cornerstone Baptist Church, Charlotte NC.
