He was predeceased by: his sons, Mark Griffin Lay and Brett Edwin Lay; and his wife Sandra Louise-Carr Lay. He is survived by: his son Cory Christopher Lay; his daughters-in-law, Janet and Kelly Lay (Mark); his grandchildren, Samantha Arzu (Nic), Jessie Anderson (Ben), Dallas Lay, Ryan Lay (Abbie), Alex Lay-Calvert, Taylor Lay and Tami Lay; his great grandchildren, Maiya Arzu and Tilly Anderson; and his cousins, Carl Hock (Rose), Walter Hock (Kathy) and Leo Hock.
