He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Kurek and Lillian Machnik Kurek. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Shepard Kurek; his children, Melissa Saunders (Neal Saunders) and Timothy Kurek (Vita Rocco); his sister Theresa Mikosz (Daniel); his niece Pamela Rieb; and his nephew Daniel Mikosz.
