With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Dalton Godwin Sr. of Mint Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on March 31, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wilson Godwin and Virginia Wells Bailey Godwin; and his brother Roy Godwin. He is survived by: his wife Diane Griffin Godwin; his children, Kim Godwin Leazer (Mark), Donna Godwin Jordan (Buddy) and Jimmy D Godwin, Jr. (Jay); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Leazer Freeman (Alan), Trey Jordan (Olivia), Emily Leazer Maurer (David), Rachel Jordan Pasley (Alex), Lauren Jordan Bower (Carl), Grace Godwin and Dalton Godwin. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
