Herbert Russell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Russell (Mint Hill, North Carolina), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on February 1, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Weldon H. Russell and Cora Hutchins Russell; and his brothers, Harold Russell and Weldon H. Russell. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his former wife Marcene; his son Alan Daniel Russell (Peggy Helms Russell); his daughter-in-law Gloria Helms; his daughters, Denise Greenway (Pat) and Teresia Francis (Jim); and his stepsons, Richard Helms (Ann) and Phil Helms. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
