It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geurald Wallace Johnston (Mint Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Jerry Johnston; and his siblings, Cletus Johnston and Bleeka Hubble. He is survived by: his children, Billy Johnston (Betsy), Michael Johnston (Christi), Patty Freeman and Sherry Fish; his grandchildren, Tasha Johnston, Brittany Wiese (Andrew), Tara Bruce (Rusty), Bailey Johnston (Amber), Quinton Johnston, Hailey Johnston, Maddie Johnston, Dalton Fish (Mary) and Kaylee Fish Thompson (Nick); his great grandchildren, Bryce, Danica Johnston, Patrick, Peyton Wiese, Brianna, Makenzie Bruce, Laynie Johnston, Ruby Thompson, Lucy and Nora Fish; and his siblings, Mary Jo Flenniken, Harry and JC Johnston. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Coach Johnston Fund and will directly support the MHAA T-Ball Program.
