He is survived by: his wife Diane Porter Hartis; his daughters, Sonia Meeks (Ronnie Joe) of Robersonville, NC and Gina Mullis (Kevin) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Klint Mullis, Cory Mullis (Tatum), Codie Meeks, Kyle Meeks (Kelly), Ashley Meeks and Emily Meeks; his great grandchildren, Mitch Grizzard, Noah Meeks, Sadie Meeks, Apollo Meeks, Keely Mullis and Darren Mullis; and his siblings, Herbert Hartis (Carolyn) of Monroe, NC, Earl Reid Hartis (Donna) of Calabash, NC and Cathey Hartis McWhirter (Dale) of Mooresboro, NC..
