It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donette Elaine McLaughlin (Mint Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on August 17, 2024, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Donald Pope of Charlotte, NC.; her sister Tracy Pope; and her nephew Alexander Lacy. She is survived by: her husband Rick Thornburg; her mother Sandra Hughes; her stepmother Tammy Pope; her siblings, Christy Bush (Joshua), Tonia Pope and Donald Pope (Laura); her daughter Heather Phillips; her son-in-law Travis Phillips; her grandchildren, Skylar, Bryce and Adalynn Phillips; and her nieces and nephews, Kirsten Bush, Caroline, Kelsey Lynch, Aaron Lacy, Daniel Bush and Brooks Pope. She is also survived by her family and friends.
