He was predeceased by: his father Thurman Penix. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Nicholson Penix; his sons, Donnie (Marie) and Adam; his siblings, Marshall Penix (Deanna), Steve Penix (Nancy), Mary Sue Katner and Rachel Penix Beal; and his sister-in-law Judy Barnard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
