She was predeceased by: her parents, Burt Hood and Mae Ross Hood. She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Childers (Amy) and Chris Childers; her niece Nevelyn Thrasher (Michael); her grandchildren, Amanda Innerfield (Andrew), Evan and Aaron Childers; and her great grandchildren, Jameson and Talia Innerfield.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel (7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, Charlotte, NC 28227).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 11501 Bain School Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
