She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Dillon Helms; and her grandson Justin Bunker. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth D. Helms, Jr. (Jan) of Durham, NC, Diane Helms Bunker (Steve) of Indian Trail, NC and Keith V. Helms (Jane) of Matthews, NC.; and her grandchildren, Melinda Sander, Adam Bunker, Brendon Helms, Hannah Smith and Erin Reynolds. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to Midwood Baptist Church, 2029 Mecklenburg Av. Charlotte, NC 28205.
