She was predeceased by: her husband Squire Pettiford, Sr.; her son Jerry Lewis Pettiford; and her parents, Scott Barnett and Addie Mae Barnett. She is survived by: her children, Betty P. Pointer of Milton, NC, Elder Squire Roosevelt Pettiford, Jr. (Janet) of Reidsville, NC, Willis Love Pettiford, Elder Janet P. Hines (Carl) of Milton, Lucy H. Gunn (John) of Mebane, NC, Minister Daniel Pettiford (Amanda) of Providence, NC, Judy Pettiford, Jacqueline P. Pinion of Ruffin, NC, Jessica P. Long of Reidsville, NC and David Pettiford, Sr. (April); and her siblings, Lucy Woods of Philadelphia, PA, Jennie McClary of Roxboro, Tom Barnett (Diane) of Newark, NJ, Joe Barnett of Newark, NJ, Scott Barnett (Barbara) of Newark, NJ, Audrey Miller of Orange, NJ, Nellie Conaway of Tobyhanna, PA and Graham Barnett of Roxboro. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several foster children.
