She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Jeffries, Jr. and Alice Hicks Jeffries; her daughter LaVerne Chandler; and her siblings, Elsie Jay, Joyce Wilson, Otis Jeffries, Leon Jeffries, JoeWillard Jeffries, Robert Jeffries and Lester Glenn.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Judy Pounds (John) of Durham, NC, Jeffrey Douglas McCain of Nashville, NC and Darrell McCain (Darlene) of Durham, NC; and her siblings, Erie Graves of Adelphi, MD, Susie Johnson of Danville, VA and Jeremiah Jeffries (Barbara) of Milton, NC. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gathering during COVID-19 outbreak, visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 4-8 PM at Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time only, masks are required.
