She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Winstead and Lovelene Stewart Winstead; and her sisters, Jeanette Gunn, Rose Winstead, Sue Lee Turpin and Suzzette Winstead.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence Herbert Stewart; her daughters, Tonia Stewart (Glen) of Milton and LaToya Stewart (Rick) of Milton; her grandchildren, Morgan McCaden of Suffolk, Justin Stewart of Greensboro, Joshua Stewart of Milton and JaNessa Stewart of Milton; her great grandchild Khengston Stewart; her siblings, Elaine Clayborne of Semora, Douglas Smith of Milton and Raymond Winstead, Jr. of Washington, DC; her aunts, Pansy Stewart, Ernestine Jay and Ollie Mae Stewart; and her sisters-in-law, Marie Farmer, Lara McCain, Ernestine Barnette (Charlie) and Gladys Lipscomb (Miller). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church (2578 NC-119, Leasburg, NC 27291). A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery (2578 NC-119, Leasburg, NC 27291).
