He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Cox and Pauline Cox; and his siblings, Eugene Cox, Daniel Cox, Kenneth Cox and Betty Cox Jamerson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Heather Allen of Asheville, NC and Leigh Ann Harris (James) of Flat Rock, NC; and his siblings, Joyce Cox Smith of Swannanoa, NC, Robert Cox (Louise) of Fletcher, NC and William Cox (Susan) of Fairview, NC. He is also survived by 3 granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
